27th March 2013 – A dark day for Irish animals. In Dail Eireann (Irish Parliament), 108 TDs reject an amendment to the Animal Welfare Bill which sought to outlaw cruel foxhunting, terrierwork, digging-out, ferreting, badger culling and the use of wild animals in circuses. Also rejected was a motion which sought to outlaw cruel hare coursing and fur farming.
